How to lower Total Alkalinity and pH

The total alkalinity level of your pool water should be checked using a test kit. It should be between 100 and 120 ppm for various types of disinfectants, such as trichlor and dichlor.

The ideal pH level for swimming pools is between 7.4 and 7.6. Setting the correct amount of water in your pool will help maintain its effectiveness.
