How to Replace Pentair 79110100 Snap-On Cap Cord

If you have a pool, chances are you have a Pentair 79110100 Snap-on Cap Cord. This cord is the most common cord used to attach the pool pump and filter to the pool. Over time, the cord can become brittle and need to be replaced.

Fortunately, replacing the cord is a relatively simple task that just about anyone can do.

Step 1

The first step is to shut off the power to the pool pump. This is essential for safety and also to prevent damage to the pump. Once the power is shut off, locate the Pentair 79110100 Snap-on Cap Cord. It should be located near the pool pump and filter, and should be easy to identify.

Step 2

Next, you will need to remove the old cord. To do this, you will need to unscrew the two screws that hold the old cord in place. Once the screws are removed, gently pull the old cord away from the pump and filter. Once it is removed, discard it.

Step 3

Now, you will need to install the new cord. Start by feeding the new cord through the same path as the old cord. Make sure the cord is securely attached to the pump and filter. Once it is in place, secure it with the two screws you removed earlier.

Step 4

Finally, you will need to turn the power back on to the pump. Make sure all connections are secure, and then turn the power back on. Once the power is back on, your new Pentair 79110100 Snap-on Cap Cord should be working properly.

Just remember to shut off the power to the pump before you start, and make sure all connections are secure before you turn the power back on. With a few simple steps, you can have your pool up and running again quickly and easily.
