How To Prepare Your Swimming Pool For The Summer This Winter

The first thing that's done for a swimming pool is cleaning it. This usually involves removing the leaves and cleaning the pool's roller shutter.

These tasks are usually carried out during the spring cleaning season. They are relaxing and can help keep the pool floor and water line clean. Set aside time to thoroughly clean it. Doing so will make the weekly cleaning much easier.

Set It Up

The pool is still too cold to swim in. The next step is to start up the heating.

For swimming pools with a heat pump, wait until the last frost has gone. This will prevent the system from overheating and producing too much water.

It's important that the filter is programmed to operate at least 12 hours a day to ensure that the water in your pool is clear. It is also important that the filter is rinsed through the water before the spring cleaning.

PH Is Important

The first thing you need to do is get the pH value right. Your other products will only show results after this value is correct. If the pH value is too high, add pH Min. If the pH value is too low, add pH Plus. It's simple!

After the pH value, check the chlorine level. If your pool water is green or brown, it's important to check all the other parameters in order to see if they're working properly.

Flocculant is a product that will remove dirt particles from the water that cause it to look cloudy. Just add it to the pool and it will magically transform it into crystal clear water.
