Details: In the Swim Chlorine Neutralizer reduces free available chlorine (FAC) levels immediately. Normal swimming chlorine levels should be between 3 - 4 ppm depending on the area and demand for chlorine in the pool. When your chlorine concentration becomes higher than 3 - 4 ppm, do not go swimming. The higher levels of chlorine can be damaging to hair follicles and skin cells. Causing loss of hair and dry damaged skin. Use the In the Swim Chlorine Neutralizer to reduce FAC levels, making the water safe to swim. Active ingredient 90% Granular Sodium Thiosulfate. Initial Dosage: 5 oz per 10,000 gallons to see a 5.5 ppm drop in free available chlorine. To use In the Swim Chlorine Neutralizer first start by making sure all chemical feeds, tab floater, and salt system are turned off. Then do a water test to confirm the high levels of FAC. Once the high chlorine level is confirmed, measure out the amount of chlorine neutralizer needed into a chemical safe container. With the circulation system running broadcast the chlorine neutralizer across the surface, around the perimeter, or pour it in front of a pool return. Allow the pump to circulate the chlorine neutralizer into the water for 30 minutes. Retest the chlorine level before entering the pool. If chlorine is still high repeat the process.
