Details: BAQUACIL Select Algaecide (1 qt) is great for killing and preventing algae in Baquacil treated pools. This long lasting algaecide provides protection from green, yellow and black algae. Product Dosage Visible Algae: 32 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of water. Freshly cleaned or filled pools: 18 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of water. Weekly Maintenance: 6 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of water per week. Directions For Pools with Visible Algae Growth: For maximum effectiveness, pools with a large amount of algae present must be cleaned prior to using this product. Pools having visible algae growth must be treated with 32 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of pool water. After 24 hours, the algae debris must be removed by standard cleaning procedures, including brushing, loose algae spots, vacuuming the pool and backwashing the filter. Freshly Filled Pools & Routine Maintenance: For treatment of freshly cleaned and filled pool, add 18 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of pool water. To maintain pools free of visible algae growth, add 6 fl oz per 10, 000 gallons of pool water every week after the initial treatment. Apply this product directly to the pool water with the circulation system turned on. Allow ample time for product to be distributed before turning off the pump. This product is compatible with other chemicals commonly used to treat swimming pools and it is effective in both acid an alkaline ph ranges. It can be used in pools treated with chlorine chemicals, and its use may reduce the amount of these chemicals required. Compatible with bromine, chlorine, salt water, ozone, biguanide and minerals.
