This guide will help you to find the right capacitor for your pool pump motor. The quickest way in finding the correct pump motor capacitor is to use the ratings listed on its casing. Both run and start capacitors list the voltage with the Microfarad (MFD) rating, the two things required to find a match.
A start capacitor's microfarads are rated in a range, for example, 88/106 MFD or 124/149 MFD. Run Capacitors have a microfarad rating that can range from 15 to 50 MFD
Capacitor voltage range will vary between the two types of capacitors.
• Run Capacitors: 370, 440 or 370-440 VAC
• Start Capacitors: 110, 125, 165, 220-250, 330 VAC

2. With the voltage and MFD rating in hand, you can consult Inyo’s Pool Pump Motor Parts Page, that has our listing run and start capacitors.
3. Steps to identifying your Motor.
Find the part, model or catalog number on your motor label
Input the model number into Inyo Pool’s search engine.
Review the motor results, making sure to confirm the motor’s Horsepower (HP,) Voltage (V,) Amps, Service Factor (SF,) and Frame (FR)
Select the motor’s parts diagram under the parts heading of on the product page
Match the motor model number to the capacitor listed on the chart.
