If you're looking to install a Pentair Sensor Auxiliary Freeze (FPSAUX) on your pool, you've come to the right place.
In this blog post, we'll discuss the steps you need to take to properly install the FPSAUX.
1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
You'll need a head screwdriver, a pair of pliers, a drill and drill bit, a pair of safety glasses, and wire nuts. Additionally, you'll need the Pentair Sensor Auxiliary Freeze (FPSAUX) and the appropriate mounting hardware.
2. Mount the FPSAUX on the wall.
The mounting hardware should have been included in the box. First, use the drill bit to make the necessary holes in the wall and then use the provided screws to secure the freeze. Make sure the freeze is level and that the bottom of the freeze is at least 3" below the water line of the pool.
3. Connect the wiring.
You'll need to have an appropriately rated wire to connect the FPSAUX to the power source. Connect the black wire to the black terminal on the FPSAUX and the white wire to the white terminal. Make sure the wires are securely fastened with wire nuts.
4. Test the unit.
Make sure the power is on and then press the "test" button on the freeze. The freeze should activate and the pool temperature should start to drop. If the unit does not activate, check the wiring and make sure it is connected properly.
With these four simple steps, you can easily install a Pentair Sensor Auxiliary Freeze (FPSAUX) to help protect your pool from freezing temperatures.Â
